Candle Safety Tips

Thank you for choosing Vandal Candle Co. Every candle is made with quality materials and tested for a clean, consistent burn. To ensure a safe experience, please review the guidelines below before lighting your candle.

Before Lighting

• Always trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting. This prevents soot and helps maintain an even flame.

• Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from anything that can catch fire.

• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

While Burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep.

• Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool before relighting.

• Keep away from drafts, vents, or air currents. This helps prevent uneven burning or smoking.

• Do not move a candle while it’s burning or the wax is liquid.

After Use

• Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains. Continuing to burn may cause the container to overheat or crack.

• Allow wax to fully cool before handling or relighting.

• Reuse or recycle your jar or tin after cleaning out remaining wax.

Additional Tips

• Let the wax melt across the entire surface during the first burn to prevent tunneling.

• Avoid using candles in drafty areas or near fans.

• Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their fragrance and appearance.
